Summer Life Update: Sad news and a new venture

I decided to write this blog post because I have had some really sad news and I figured maybe writing down my thoughts will help me come to terms with how I’m feeling. My heart is currently broken because Daisy, my 20-year-old cat had to be put to sleep 2 days ago. She was the best cat ever who gave me and my family so much happiness. I can still hr1 (1 of 1)-10.jpgremember going to the animal shelter as a child full of excitement to pick out a kitten. When I opened Daisy’s cage she jumped on my shoulder – it was like she chose me. She was always there for me and I’m going to miss her so very badly. I’m trying to remember the good times and remind myself that she had a very healthy life until the last week of her life and she made it to such an old age (about 90 in human years) I’m making a donation in her name to the animal shelter where we got her and I’ve also ordered a photo keyring of her so that she will always be with me.

I’m trying to keep myself busy and one way is by focusing on a new venture. I’ve always had a huge passion for photography so I’ve decided to sell prints on Etsy. It’s been a dream of mine for a long time to open an Etsy shop! It’s taken longer to get off the ground then I initially thought but I’m hoping it will be open soon. So far I’ve sent away for print samples to decide what type of paper I wanted to get my photos printed on and I’ve also picked the initial photos that I will get printed. The next step is to decide on the size of the prints and how much  I will charge.

In other news I’ve got an Online Personal Trainer. I’ve tried so many ways to get fit and lose weight and nothing has worked for me. I’m a month into training and it’s working! The trainer has given me lots of nutrition advice and  a range of workouts to follow – I’ve never felt so motivated! He sends me a video message every week about my progress. It is quite expensive but I’m achieving so much so it’s well worth it!

I’m so sorry to hear about your kitty. When I was in college, I lost my childhood cat Jasmine and it was a really sad experience. I remember calling my boyfriend and he came over to my apartment. He could immediately tell something was wrong and I burst into tears saying my cat died and he just gave me a hug as I sobbed. It does get better, and eventually you will be able to move on. I just adopted our new kitty Athena and she’s a riot, but she’s so adorable.

My two cats and dog are such a part of my life. The cats are getting up in age so it always concerns me about their health. Sorry to hear about your loss but furry family are always with us.
