Learning Modern Calligraphy

I’ve wanted to learn modern calligraphy for so long! I was really excited when I discovered a kit that has everything you need to learn it.

This kit comes from Quill London and not only do they sell calligraphy kits but they also run workshops if you’d prefer to be taught by someone instead of going it alone. Their workshops sell out quickly so be sure to book far advance!

The kit I decided to buy is called The Essentials Modern Calligraphy Kit. It has everything you need to learn modern calligraphy. It takes a lot of practice but I can’t wait to perfect it so I can personalise my stationary, cards and pretty much everything else!

Here’s what you get in the kit:

– Jar of black ink

– Nikko G nib

– Pen holder

– Modern Calligraphy guide sheet

– Line guide sheet

– Getting started instructions

– 50 page practice paper book

– Drawstring bag

When it arrived I couldn’t wait to open it. It’s such good quality and comes beautifully presented in a black box (you can also get it personalised) and a bow.

Once I opened the box there was a drawstring bag with Quill London printed on it in gold containing the nib and ink. Underneath were all the guideline sheets, paper and instructions. The kit has everything you could possibly need to get started.

Once I’ve got the hang of it I will do another post showing my progress!

Have you tried modern calligraphy before? I’d love to know in the comments!
