I’m a major fan of the original Urban Decay Naked Palette so next on my wishlist was of course the Naked Palette 2!
My first impression of the Naked Palette 2 was how much better the packaging is compared to the original. The original is quite famous for having less than favourable velvet packaging. The newer palette however has a more sturdy metal pencil case like style of packaging containing a bigger mirror, the perfect size to ensure your eyeshadow application is flawless!
The palette consists of 12 shades containing matte, neutral, shimmer and sparkle. The majority of the eyeshadows feature brownish tones alongside some more neutral base shades.
Here’s a look at each shade:
A pale beige tone with a matte finish which works perfectly as a base eyeshadow.
This metallic eyeshadow also features in the original Naked Palette. It’s a beautiful golden bronze with a shimmery finish. It’s the shade I use the most so I was very pleased to see it reappear in this palette!
A cork shimmer eyeshadow, another from the collection that works great as a base shade.
This warm-toned coppery eyeshadow features a silvery glittery finish to add a little sparkle to your eyes.
A creamy cool-toned brown matte eyeshadow that makes a great crease shade.
A dark bronze shimmery metallic eyeshadow. This is my go-to shade from this palette.
A neutral shade with soft bronzed tones that I tend to use on the outer corners of my eyes.
A dark shimmery grey-brown shade. Great for a neutral smokey eye.
A pale beige grey with a light silver shimmer creating a high shine effect.
This bronze shimmer shade is one of Urban Decay’s best-selling eyeshadows. It’s one of the eyeshadows I wear the most from this palette.
A deep brown eyeshadow with a shimmery finish featuring a hint of purple tones.
This dark black matte eyeshadow creates an intense dramatic look
The Naked Palette 2 costs £38.50 but for that you get 12 highly pigmented shades that are of an extremely high quality. It’s great value for money considering both the wearability and staying power the eyeshadows possess. The downside for me is that the shades in the palette are very similar to the original Naked Palette and I feel like if you have one you can probably live without the other. Comparing aside so many looks can be created from the Naked Palette 2 and a lot of the shades are very wearable and can be used on a daily basis. What are your thoughts on the Naked Palette 2? I’d love to know in the comments!
