YouTube sensation Tanya Burr recently launched a brand new Soft Luxe matte lipgloss collection as part of her Tanya Burr Cosmetics range. Matte lipglosses are the in thing at the moment so I was keen to see if these budget-friendly products lived up to the hype!
Superdrug had a 3 for 2 offer and I couldn’t resist buying them all for a bargain £11.98 (usual price £5.99 each). This is amazing value, especially because Tanya has been known to delay the release of an item from her range if she isn’t happy with it which means you can really expect quality from her makeup items.
The three shades in the collection are:
Puppy Paws – Vibrant pink shade
Martha Moo – Dark pinky brown shade
Rhubarb and Custard – Summery coral pink shade
Tanya names all her makeup products after things she loves and her adorable Dachshund puppy clearly gave her inspiration for this line with two of the lip glosses being called Puppy Paws, and Martha Moo (the name of her puppy) The other lipgloss is called Rhubarb and Custard which I assume is after the sweets (who doesn’t love those!)
For me Martha Moo is by far my favourite, it’s the shade that’s the closest to my natural lip colouring. It looks like my lip colour but better which makes it the perfect everyday lipgloss. I love how the matte effect gives a really sophisticated edge to your makeup look and it was so easy to apply, it just glided on!
My second favourite has to be Rhubarb and Custard. I have a pale complexion and once I applied this pretty shade it really brightened my appearance.
Puppy Paws isn’t one I’d wear again because the pink shade was too vibrant and didn’t suit me .I found this one the hardest to apply but trial and error taught me that it’s easier to apply when you use only a little bit of product. Less is more!
A major plus to these lipglosses is that they are very long lasting. I instantly knew I wouldn’t have to frequently reapply them because when I did the swatch it took a lot of scrubbing to wash it off my arm, it wouldn’t budge!
Overall I’m incredibly happy with the price and quality of the range. I also love the packaging which oozes quality and I can see myself wearing Martha Moo and Rhubarb and Custard for a long time to come. My new favourites!
Have you tried the range yet what do you think?
