Homeware Haul

I absolutely love reading homeware haul posts, mainly for the chance to get inspired and discover new items that I wouldn’t usually find.  I had a serious amount of shopping to do before I moved in to my flat and was constantly on the lookout for inspiration everywhere be it online, in the supermarket or on the high street. I loved finding hidden gyms at bargain prices that would make my home feel like home. Here are my favourite finds:

I was on a tight budget when it came to kitting out my flat. I researched where I could get the cheapest items and was constantly on the look out for the best bargain buys. This was the case for pretty much everything except for the soft furnishings. You get what you pay for with these so the majority of my budget went on this. The above cushions I purchased all have duck egg tones which is a colour I’m obsessed with right now. I love the softness of the shade and the grey and blue tones to it.

The cushion at the front is a Grecian Tile Cushion that I got from Marks and Spencers. I love the unique pattern and find it to be both stylish and homely. I spent hours looking at cushions and these were the nicest and most unique ones I could find. The cushions behind are Bantry Weave Cushions which are again from Marks and Spencers. I wanted to get some plain ones to work with the Grecian Tile to really make that pop. I was delighted to find some in this trusty duck egg shade.

As well as the duck egg shade another major theme in my flat is glass. I have the on trend jam jar glasses, a glass cake dome to display all my favourite bakes and even my salt and pepper shakers are glass. My favourite of the glass items that I own are these mini milk bottles. They cost only a few pounds from B and M which is a budget store in the UK where you can find so many bargains! They are perfect for milkshakes, juice, smoothies…anything! They instantly make any drink more appealing and I love the wooden crate they are displayed in.

I got this treasure chest from Homesense which is a treasure trove in itself ! You never know what you might find there but you are bound to find something you instantly fall in love with. This treasure chest is what I use to keep important documents, friends and family’s contact details, Polaroid photos…basically anything  I don’t want to get lost. I think it’s a much more exciting storage solution compared to your average box and I love the world map and the variety of photos from around the world which feature on the design.

I adore the unique shape of this glass dish which is of course in duck egg (what else?) I grabbed it as soon as I saw it. This is again from Homesense and I use it to put my keys and loose change in. I’m going to go back and get the same style dish but in a bigger size to display all my Lush bath bombs !

I would fill my whole flat with fairy lights if I could. I personally think they are the most exciting and interesting lighting option you can have. There’s nothing I love more than lying in the dark with my fairy lights on in the background. So relaxing! I got these white rose lights from Amazon. There are 30 little rose lights in total and they look just as beautiful on as they do off.

What are you favourite homeware items? I’d love to know in the comments!

What a fantastic idea, I love homeware bits and bobs probably more than I do clothes. I recently decorated my bedroom and may have to add my finds to my blog.
