When it comes to summer I always find myself wearing various shades of pink and purple nail varnishes. Here are my favourite ones:
Essie – Ballet Slippers
This nail varnish is chip resistant so it’s more durable than most. It’s long lasting and although the bottle is a simple design it screams ‘high quality product’.
I applied two coats of Ballet Slippers and also a top coat. It glides on easily and is just the right consistency (not too watery or too thick). A major plus is that it also dries very quickly.
I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect nude shade and this is it! It’s a classic pale pink shade with a sheer finish and it looks classy and sophisticated.
Essie Ballet Slippers costs £7.99 and for me it’s really good value because it’s so long lasting. Also you can’t put a price on finding your perfect shade!
Rimmel Salon Pro – Cocktail Passion
This Rimmel nail varnish can last up to 10 days. It lasted about a week for me which is still very good. What really sets it apart is that it’s an all in one product that also acts as a base coat and top coat.
This is the easiest nail varnish ever to apply! The brush bristles covered my whole nail so I only had to do one stroke. You could also get a way with only one layer of this but I went for two which did achieve an even better result.
I love the shine of the varnish and the coral shade is really eye catching and perfect for summer,
Rimmel Salon Pro in Cocktail Passion only cost £4.49 and I now want one in every shade!
Maybelline Super Stay Nail Gel Colour
This nail varnish lasted a whole week as claimed without any chips which is very impressive.
The brush is the perfect size to effortlessly sweep across the nail to cover your nail in one stroke.
The Berry stain shade comes across as rich and sophisticated and it’s shine makes it appear as if you’ve had a really expensive manicure.
Another plus is that this varnish comes enriched with iron and calcium to strengthen your nails.
Maybelline Superstay Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish costs only £4.49 which really surprised me as it comes across as a much more expensive product.
What’s you favourite nail varnish at the moment? Let me know in the comments 🙂
